SEATTLE, WA — October 26, 2026 — The Seattle Seahawks bounced back in impressive fashion on Sunday night, defeating the Kansas City Chiefs 20–3 at Lumen Field. Wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba led the way with 150 receiving yards and a touchdown, while Seattle's defense kept Kansas City's high-powered offense under control.
The victory ended Seattle's two-game losing streak and handed the previously undefeated Chiefs their first loss of the season.
Jaxon Smith-Njigba Leads Seattle's Offense
Smith-Njigba finished with nine receptions for 150 yards and one touchdown, continuing an outstanding season. His 28-yard touchdown reception from quarterback Sam Darnold late in the first half gave Seattle a 10–0 advantage and helped establish control of the game.
Through seven games, Smith-Njigba had accumulated 867 receiving yards and eight receiving touchdowns, putting him among the NFL's most productive offensive players.
Darnold completed 20 of 28 passes for 257 yards and a touchdown. Running back Emanuel Wilson also delivered a strong performance, rushing for 100 yards on 24 carries and scoring a decisive 21-yard touchdown late in the fourth quarter.
Seahawks Defense Shuts Down Kansas City
Seattle's defense played a major role in the victory, limiting Kansas City to just 213 total yards and three points.
Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes completed 19 of 33 passes for 165 yards and threw one interception. Seattle also disrupted Kansas City's running game, holding former Seahawks running back Kenneth Walker III to just 36 yards on 14 carries.
The Seahawks forced key mistakes and prevented the Chiefs from finding an offensive rhythm. Kansas City's only points came on a 50-yard field goal in the third quarter.
Seattle also extended its remarkable streak of not allowing a 100-yard individual rusher to 36 consecutive games, the longest active streak in the NFL.
A Strong Response After Two Losses
The Seahawks entered Sunday's matchup looking to regain momentum after consecutive defeats. Facing a Kansas City team that had won its first five games, Seattle delivered one of its strongest all-around performances of the season.
The offense moved the ball effectively, while the defense consistently limited the Chiefs' opportunities. Seattle finished with 410 total yards compared with Kansas City's 213.
Although the Seahawks left some scoring opportunities on the field, their defensive performance and Smith-Njigba's impact proved decisive.

Seattle will return to Lumen Field on Monday, November 2, to face the Chicago Bears. The Seahawks will look to build on Sunday's victory and carry that momentum into their next matchup.
