Calley Means, a prominent figure in the Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) movement, has left his advisory role in the Trump administration less than two weeks before the US midterm elections.
Means previously advised Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and later worked at the White House. He helped promote initiatives focused on nutrition, food policy reform, and tackling chronic diseases.
In a statement shared with STAT News, Means expressed respect for President Donald Trump and Kennedy and said he remained optimistic about the MAHA movement’s future. However, he did not give a specific reason for his departure.
According to Reuters, citing a Wall Street Journal report, Means had grown frustrated with delays in advancing several food policy initiatives.
