Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information City Space Media LLC (“we”, “us”) collects on allseattle.org (“AllSeattle”, the “Site”), how we use it and the choices you have. We do not sell your personal information.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us:

  • Account details — your name, email address, phone number (optional) and password (stored only in encrypted form).
  • Listings and business information — car and job listings, business details, photos, logos, hours, promotions and products you add, including contact details you choose to publish.
  • Forms and messages — news tips, business applications, advertising inquiries and newsletter sign-ups, with the details you enter.
  • Contest votes — the email address you vote with, so we can confirm one vote per person.

Payments: payments are processed by Stripe. We receive the status of your payment, your billing name, email, billing address (to calculate sales tax) and the last digits of your card; we never see or store your full card number.

Information collected automatically: your IP address and basic browser data, used to protect forms from spam and abuse and to keep the Site secure; listing view counts; and, only if you accept cookies, Google Analytics data about how the Site is used.

2. How we use it

  • To run the Site: your account, your listings and business page, moderation, and the services you buy.
  • To send service emails — account confirmation, password resets, moderation results, listing reminders, payment and subscription notices. We do not send marketing emails unless you sign up for them.
  • To process payments and calculate sales tax, and to keep business and tax records.
  • To prevent spam, fraud and abuse, and to keep the Site secure.
  • To understand and improve the Site (analytics, only with your consent).

3. What is public

Listings, business pages and contest entries are public once published, including any contact details you choose to show in them. Please do not put information in them that you do not want others to see.

4. Who we share it with

We share personal information only with service providers that help us run the Site, under their own privacy and security terms:

  • Stripe — payments, subscriptions and sales tax.
  • Resend — delivery of service emails.
  • Vercel (hosting), Neon (database) and Cloudflare (file storage and the Turnstile spam check on forms).
  • Google Analytics — only if you accept analytics cookies.
  • OpenStreetMap — map tiles and address lookup for business and event locations.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or users’ safety, or as part of a sale or transfer of our business.

5. Cookies

We use cookies that the Site needs to work, such as keeping you signed in. Analytics cookies are set only after you accept them in the cookie banner; you can decline, and the Site works the same.

6. How long we keep it

We keep account information while your account exists. Listings leave the Site when they expire or are deleted. When you delete your account, we delete your account information, your car and job listings and any business that was not yet published. A published business page or a paid banner stays on the Site until we remove it — write to us and we will. We keep records we must keep for legal, tax or accounting reasons (for example, payment records) or to resolve disputes.

7. Your choices and rights

  • Edit your profile and listings, or delete your account, at any time in your account settings.
  • Ask us for a copy of your personal information, or ask us to correct or delete it, by writing to AllSeattle.info@gmail.com.
  • Decline analytics cookies in the cookie banner.

Residents of some US states have additional privacy rights under their state laws; you can exercise them by contacting us. We will not treat you differently for doing so.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and encrypted password storage. No system is completely secure, so please use a strong, unique password.

9. Children

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. Accounts and paid services are for people 18 and older.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. The date at the top shows the latest version; if a change is significant, we will tell you on the Site or by email.
