Klara and the Sun – A Heartfelt Story of Hope and Human Connection
Inspired by Kazuo Ishiguro’s acclaimed novel, Klara and the Sun is a moving drama about friendship, love, and what it means to be human. The story follows Klara (Jenna Ortega), an Artificial Friend whose greatest wish is to find someone to care for and a place to call home.
Her world changes when she meets Josie (Mia Tharia), a young girl facing personal struggles and a complicated family life alongside her mother (Amy Adams). As their bond grows, Klara’s remarkable empathy, curiosity, and unwavering devotion begin to bring comfort to a family shaped by grief and uncertainty.
Directed by Taika Waititi, this thoughtful film explores the emotional connections that give life meaning, the limits of artificial intelligence, and the enduring power of hope. Through Klara’s unique perspective, audiences are invited to reflect on compassion, belonging, and the extraordinary things that make us human.
